honestly i’ve kinda grown numb to all the bad news. i think i just feel like a spectator at this point.
- (source) Google closing Android, meaning you cannot use third-party apps. In other words, everything you can install on your phone must be approved by Google. I hope you can see the issues here.
- [you don’t need a source] AI and the plague it has become, not to mention being worse than the NFT craze that already was abominable on its own. It’s like a sequel at this point. Bigger tech, pushing bigger power sinks, causing bigger economic problems (ok this is a stretch, but i mean - RAM prices were skyrocketing, not as much though.)…
- [you probably know all this already, but for historical reasons, ] the state of the world right now. why is europe not condemning the u.s.-israel strikes. why did they only condemn Iran, which, frankly, was just defending itself from a declaration of war. ayatollah’s regime is/was horrific, for sure — but for fuck sake, they hit a girls’ school. there’s at least 175 kills there. what the hell?
- had to vent this out somewhere, cause it was driving me a bit nuts.
what can i realistically do about the above? so instead i’m just trying to think of the good news to keep me together - of which there’s quite a bit, depending on what you consider good news.
- The StopKillingGames campaign, for making video game companies provide a method to host the server, so that no game ever dies. Pretty good cause, and it seems like there’s been optimistic news lately.
- All the cool games and things coming out.
…
There’s definitely more but I’m blanking out.
Look.
I don’t like my memory either. It’s very weird.
