okay so, an incremental typing game.
so, typing game here means typing on a keyboard. you type words that are on the screen, and progress that way.
upgrades could include:
- points per letter?
- access to different curriencies?
- allow for auto-typing (starting out incredibly slow)
- introducing different modifiers to letters?
- allow for typing from multiple words
- allow for letters to be counted for multiple words at the same time
- allow for letters to be counted in any order
prestige could look like:
- unlocking different tiers of typing challenges. you lose all your upgrades, but are rewarded by a different game environment, and being able to go even further.
- your first prestige here would just unlock the next tier. however, in the 2nd prestige, you can add sub-Prestiges. maybe. if that’s a good idea.
- higher level boosts - by which i mean, boosts that apply to the lower layer’s boosts.
- to explain further - points are Layer 0. this layer of the game is the core of it, the currency by which everything moves.
- Layer 1 are the upgrades you face along your first run. They boost Layer 0 --- aka, raw currency.
- Layer 2 are the upgrades on Prestige. They boost Layer 1 --- aka, its upgrades.
- We can keep going, and complicate this structure with branches as well, such as having to pick one between multiple options.
okay maybe half of this stuff is just good for incremental games in general. also im definitely taking inspiration from Antimatter Dimensions. Also available on Steam.
