if you program, you probably know about vscode. i use codium, which is an open source fork since i trust microsoft about as much as i do the Devil.
well, there’s been this editor Zed making the rounds — well it has been for a while — but my problem with it was the problem most people had; the ecosystem.
well. and the limited support. and eventually all of the AI stuff.
anyways, there’s also Gram - which is to Zed what codium is to vscode. and boy, giving it a shot — it’s so nice. it’s snappy as hell, it looks better,
it works pretty well, has a nicer interface — and have I mentioned how snappy it is? i’ve been using it for basically a day and I already think I’m permadone
with codium. love the fork, but it’s still vscode which comes with its baggage.
now with time i’ll likely develop issues or pain points or whatever, and i’ll flesh out this opinion. but for now, god. i love it.
